My Skincare Routine/Skincare Saviours!

Hey everyone,

I've wanted to start writing a blog or posting YouTube videos for so long now, the main reason being that I wanted a way to share with others how I cleared up my problem skin and share with people products that I use on a daily basis to keep my skin clear. I used to get so upset about the way my skin looked, whilst my friends moaned about ONE SPOT (which I am aware are VERY annoying) I struggled with acne, redness and scarring from previous breakouts. I know how horrible it can be and so I wanted to pass on some of my skincare saviours :) Oh, and just so you're aware, I have oily skin so this skincare is mainly suited to my skin type, although some of these products are so amazing that they will be perfect for any skin type!

Cleanser and Toner -

Firstly to cleanse I use Ultrabland cleanser from Lush. This literally saved my life (well my skin anyway). I tried so many cleansers that claimed they were for 'oily skin types' to try to clear up my skin but they didn't keep oil at bay and they were just too harsh for my skin and ended up making it even worse! I nearly gave up and reverted to make up wipes and then I came across this. It is my holy grail cleanser, I didn't think the balmy/oily consistency would be suited to my skin type but it just leaves it feeling so soft and plump. As the name suggests it is 'bland' and does't have a fragrance so it is really gentle and kind to sensitive skin.
The toner I use is Lush's Tea Tree Water. It is so refreshing and just helps to remove any leftover dirt, closes the pores and absorbs excess oil. I wouldn't recommend this for dry skin.

Occasional Use Skin-savers -

This photo is of Sea Salt Scrub also *SURPRISE* from Lush. It just really visibly deep-cleans my pores and leaves my skin soft and refreshed. It also REALLY helped to clear my acne scarring and removes dry skin. I use this once a week as it is quite abrasive.

This is AGAIN from lush and it is the Mask Of Magnaminty. Not only does this smell incredible, it also dries up spots within a matter of hours. This product can be used on problem areas or all over the face. I like to use it all over - this way I feel as though it is not only drying up existing spots but also keeping potential breakouts at bay.

Spot Fighters -

Sudocrem is absolutely incredible. PLEASE if you suffer from breakouts and feel as though nothing is working, give this a go! It can be purchased in chemists, supermarkets and even Primark now stock it. This large tub is around £4. If I suffer from a breakout this is my go to product - moreover, when you have this you will use it for EVERYTHING. Sunburn, cuts/grazes, burns etc. Sudocrem is the new 'wet paper towel' (remember at primary school when teachers thought that a paper towel could cure just about anything?). It is a miracle cure.

I also thought I'd mention the fact that when my acne got seriously bad I had no other option but to visit my GP. I was given an intense cream and also put on the contraceptive pill. I feel as though these kickstarted my breakout recovery and the other products mentioned have helped to maintain healthy skin - my skin looks and feels better than ever :)

Thank you for making it all the way to the end of my first blog post! If this has helped even one person I will be happy. From now on my blog posts will be shorter - I just really wanted to share my favourite skincare products. Let me know what you'd like to see on my blog, I promise future posts will be more pictures, less waffle! Thank you again for reading,

Chloe Xx
